The seven dimension of NPD are: strategy, research, commercialization, process, project climate, company culture, and metrics/performance.
Although there is some overlap in various research studies, the NPD best practices include dimensions of strategy, research, commercialization, process, project climate, company culture, and performance metrics.

Lastly, the fourth section of the chapter review examines SOAR as a framework for strategic thinking, planning and leading that may be particularly well-suited for several dimensions of NPD best practices including strategy, research, project climate, company culture, and selection of metrics appropriate to the company.
